Things I didn't know before I came to internet dating;
| 1) That all people basically care about are the photos. So with this logic in mind they think its ok to put photos of themseleves 15 years younger. I have been told that there really isn't something worse then having some old fat man / woman turn up to your blind date, with not even a slight resemblance to their glorious site photo. Come on jesus did you really think you would get away with it? 2) That some people are here just to chat/ flirt whatever with strangers.... (how odd and a bit creepy). 3) That men always say they are sporty and easy going and all women describe themseleves are happy-go-lucky. In reality let's face it men always sell themseleves as if they want to attract other men, and women complain all the time. 4) That you must never talk about reality in any way because it spoils the fantasy (isn't that the point? see point 5) 5) That no one here really wants to leave because that this is not a 'marriage site' (someone told me the other day) it's only a dating site. lol 6) That I might be romantic. who'd have figured had to come to a meat market to find out I am a veggy. 7) That finding a nice, clean, cute and stable man here is a bit like playing that game with the gun and the bullets. Either they are shooting blanks, or worse they are bad for your health. 8) That you can't answer someone and say your not interested because they get really hurt, and if you don't write back they think you're rude. Can't win. 9) That no one cares I have a baby if I am willing to wear skimpy clothing. But it's a must. 10) That married men think it's acceptable to spend their free time chatting up girls online, till death do us tart as they say. Oh yuk. 11) That dating my dentist suddenly looks really hot. |
