חושבים שאפשר לדעת מאופן איות המילה באנגלית איך ניתן להגות אותה? Think again... אל תתנו לאיות באנגלית לבלבל אתכם. האיות לא תמיד תואם את ההגייה. חשוב ללמוד את המילים באנגלית לפי אופן ההגייה ולא לפי צורת האיות. אם אתם לא בטוחים איך הוגים מילה פנו לכל מילון אינטרנטי באנגלית, לרוב יש אודיו של המילים. המקור של האיות באנגלית מגיע ממקומות שונים ולכן ההגייה לא תמיד זהה. לצורך המחשה אני מצרפת כאן שיר שפורסם ב- London Sunday Times בשנת 65 (והנה הוכחה שזה לא מפריע רק לדוברי אנגלית כשפה שניה....  )I take it you already know Of tough and bough and cough and dough?
