Travel: A short definitive guide to Europe (because one day it might come back into fashion)

Barcelona: Great bars, my vote for sexist city (to meet people, this is the place), plus spent New Years eve here, which was great, except for the part that we didn't know everything is closed till 1am so had a bit of trouble finding somewhere to eat.
London: Yea well what can I say may not be as pretty as the other cities but once you get your timeout guide and find the markets and live music, you will have a ball.., best shopping too. Need help on this one I can make you a quick list.
Tenerife: Initially a bit disappointing, it's no Ibiza but once you hire a car and go up the volcano and to the other side of the Island, it's quite cool. To be avoided during summer when loads drunk English people take it over. I went in February which was nice. But you need a car and the energy to explore, once you do you'll discover little villages built on mountain sides and beautiful wildlife.
Bilbo a (driving from the Pyrenees, France): Worth going for the Guggenheim museum alone, but also because it's really into modern design and quite unknown….good on the Basque who know how to keep a secret. Check out their underground entrances, so blade runner.
Paris: Sooooo romantic, nothing to add except for check out the 5th on Sunday during the day. Very lively.
Madrid: Plenty of tapas, would be my choice of town to live in next. The Spanish so know how to live, they are on siesta all the time, or they are clubbing and hanging out in squares drinking. As with all of Spain, great shopping.
Portugal: Wow like Israel, amazing beaches, good food, and loads of sun but unlike Israel everyone here is so happy and relaxed. I don't know how they do it, but it's really really laid back. More Brazil style...
Rome: You shouldn't live this life without seeing Rome, before I went I thought Italy was all pasta and old buildings but man it's so amazing. You expect it to be boring but it's brimming with life and they drive like madmen. Shopping sucks. However, recommended for every single kind of person….it's the cat's meow!
Rotterdam: If you're into architecture and urban landscape come and see this city. I really liked it, although for some it might be a bit too clinical. If you have friends there they will tell you it beats the kitsch picture book of Amsterdam any day........
Oslo: If you like snow and nature…expensive and cold, but very relaxing.
Belgium: Cute place, delicious food and really friendly people, it's what would happen if France and Holland had a baby.
Hope this will be helpful to someone…..although I know you guys are not that into Europe and prefer to go further a field, I took advantage of the time I was in London to really do Europe. If you have been to any of these countries or would like to share your travel wisdom, I would like to hear how it was for you….
