Miles Davis & John Coltrane - So What (Live Video)

Bill Evans was actualy brought back into the band for the recording of Kind of Blue, and really wasn't in the band all that long before that. Miles always dug his playing, and Evans definetly played a part in "inventing" modal jazz, but i guess it didn't work out with him being white and all. Besides they all loved to play over wyntons comping, and it was him who took over for Red Garland in the bop period, so he'd been in the band longer.

Not sure if i agree on todays rap being part of the african american culture. Sure, thats where it came from. But rap has become mainstream, detached of its african american roots. Rap is global and universal. Its made in every country and by every skin colour. I agree that todays rap is 90% crap and has forgotten what it was all about. I just dont think that it ruins african american culture, because i dont see lilwayne really as a part of it. What do you think.../
