Palestinians are not Philistines! "Palestine" is a name given by the Romans,much after this ancient people vanished from History, to try to erase the link between the Jews and the country.
the name was adopted by the British Mandate. before 1948 all the citizens under the British Mandate were called "Palestinians". including Jews. only after 1948 the name became widespread.
