3948 INTEGRATING TIME
If you wish you can stop the clock by making its time linger in memory lane. Blocking our heart will make the difference where the arrow will stop or fly on…
Stories have a meaning yet to be discovered by us; who shape, recreate and live them. Our dreams translated to expected hopes will directing our lives in chapter intervals.
I choose to reason and not to “kill time” and stopped decrying “I do not have the time.” True that modern life passes us by too fast and only through a conscious effort we’ll exist.
Looking back is similar to future-gazing while conception of the present is actual. In this very minute we re-create who we are taking off from the past into new directions.
No magic will make the past disappear but neither a philistine present will satisfy. Even relying on future accomplishments alone will not do. Only connecting all three.
The past is somewhere there and it has its place, pushed aside by present and future unborn. Let me rethink where my true existence is, by integrating all parts of this my unique self.
Poem inspired by a Voices Israel writing workshop at The Blue Bay Hotel, Netanya.
