student riot over education

Today’s Ynet article with regard to the students demonstrating in Israel reports some interesting news. I agree that people  should have every right to demonstrate, Israel is a democracy and therefore people have the right to receive something that they believe in.

This article with a headline “There isn’t an agreement but there is tan” actually reveals to us that most of the students actually benefited from this demonstration traveling abroad, relaxing while other students around the world have finals by this time of the year.

Israel however is not the only country that has education strikes in Athens there is more. The last month I was passing through a demonstration of students, it was an unforgettable experience. They were shouting in front of the parliament they even had a band, can you imagine. The students and teachers have been protesting against a new education bill passed by the Greek parliament. The new bill puts regulations on funding of universities and allows police to have access to campuses.

Israel and Greece are very similar in many things they even have demonstrations for the same reasons, same climate (almost) maybe its because the two countries are in the same region, with the Mediterranean atmosphere.
