I have a friend staying and she is, well, let's say she is quite casual with her cleanliness……

She also has a kid which makes her lack of care in the hygiene thing that touch worse….

But despite her free attitude to dirt, it is obvious that I am the nut job. I watch her every second that I am home. I try to clean after her every dirty little step (she is in fact very talented at leaving little water puddles everywhere )… and worse the more she dirties the more I try and clean. I see that she will drop that bottle of sticky juice way before she even figures out the middle of the room, on the floor, was probably not the best place to leave it. I try and disinfect her child as he moves from room to room, dragging sand and spaghetti juice to my horror. In truth, I would love them both to shower each time they have been out, or you know what.... could I just ban them from the beach, altogether?

Unlike them in their happy ignorant grimy bliss, I am busy making mental note on how things could be done more efficiently, with more care and defiantly with more soap.

They are very sweet, grubby people, really. But I am sad to say I am one uptight bitch.

I just hope my child won't make a mess,  because quite frankly, if they do I might become one of those parents that abuse their children by dipping them into bleach, and covering the furnisher with plastic!
