I beg to differ on the "give freely" I have encountered more than one woman that didn't really give freely anything when I invested my whole heart into them. I suspect that in some level that thats the reason why I'm so cautious around women emotionally, not wanting to be drained again.
The second note, however I agree wholeheatly, Give the average guy some Sports/Action/Computer game and odds are that he will be far more invested in that than anything else.
