blame it on the boogie
When I feel like I have fucked up again, or I am just really down. I turn to the 70’s, let’s face it an entire decade of bad clothes, awful politics and bad taste. Did the 70’s take it lying down? No the 70’s kicked flared, high platformed shoes ass! Did the 70’s cry themselves to bed? No the 70’s fell in love with love (in gold suits and big hair)! Did the 70’s say we’re depressed and we don’t want to go on? Fuck No! the 70’s danced their socks of till 4am and blamed it on the boogie. It was a time of poverty and discontent, but the 70’s didn’t let that stop them from loving and living. So next time you feel like your life is shit and your feeling sorry for yourself do what I do….
Think what would the people in the 70’s have done in your situation? And then the answer will instantly be clear; Wear outrageous clothes, love, don’t take yourself so seriously, and of course express yourself through disco (or whatever music you like). Be like the 70’s don’t let life get you down, keep on dancing through it! |

I also adore the 60's but for creative strenght and good times at the hardest of times....the 70's wins hands down
so true!!!! mean streets my favorite film of all time was then too....right?
The most creative times are the hard ones.
The 70's decade was one of the best in american cinema.
Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese , Steven Spielberg, Brian De Palma them and more all broke out at that tome.
Some of the best american films were made in the 70's.
