    Speakers:

    Levi Shapiro is a mobile media expert with more than 15 years of experience in helping companies enter overseas markets. At the Overseas Marketing Division of Toyota in Tokyo, Mr. Shapiro provided marketing and strategic support for newly launched distributors around the globe. In China, Mr. Shapiro ran the Beijing office of ARA Consulting, a strategy consulting firm assisting foreign companies with market-entry and marketing-related advisory. Since Obtaining an MBA from MIT, Mr. Shapiro wrote the business case and oversaw the launch of a new online business unit at IBM ("Learning Services") across Europe. Later he founded and led two mobile media start-ups (Two Minute Television, Snack Mobile) then helped position another start-up for successful exit (Telephia, acquired by Nielsen). In those roles, he created partnerships with leading brands, wireless carriers, media companies and advertising agencies across the globe. He is fluent in Japanese, Chinese and Italian, presents frequently at digital media industry conferences and writes a regular column for two industry publications.

    Dr. Gali Einav is a digital media expert with global relationships. Until recently, she was Director of Digital Insights and Innovations Research at NBC Universal. At NBC, Dr. Einav oversaw strategic, business and consumer research across digital media technologies including VOD, mobile and online. Dr. Einav is widely published and advises senior management at major media and technology companies around the world. She holds a Ph.D in Communications from Columbia University and M.A. from Hebrew University. Dr. Einav has been elected to leadership positions on a variety of industry boards, including NATAS (the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences). In addition, since 2003 Dr. Einav serves as Judge for the Advanced Media Technology Emmy Awards.

     

    From Habits to Choice - A Shift in Media and TV Consumption 


    The introduction of new digital technologies has changed the landscape of Media and TV consumption, which is moving beyond the conventional television screen. New viewing platforms and behaviors such as time shifting , online streaming and viewing  content over big and smaller screens are becoming ubiquitous. The presentation will touch on main changes in the industry and point out learnings on consumer usage and measurement practices in the US.
