The love between June Carter and Johnny Cash is inspirational in my opinion.

They sang, wrote and toured together, June stood by Johnny through denial, alcoholism and drug addiction, plus both were divorced and had kids from other marriages. Although Johnny hurt June many times and she refused his advances. They became best friends and then finally married and stayed together for 35 years. Their journey wasn’t easy and the hurdles they had to pass were huge. But they had what I would call a ‘real’ relationship….based on love and passion. June died in 2003, Johnny 4 months after her.

I hope I too get to meet my Johnny.
