אתמול קיבלתי מכתב מרתק.
ג'והן אינגלנד, חייל בגדוד המארינס לפיקוח ושמירה על השלום בחר בי לספר לי - בסוד כמובן, כיוון שהוא סומך עלי - שב-21.12.2008 בעת ששירותו בעירק הכוח שלו הוזעק להתקלות עם מחבלים. לאחר שהרגו 26, פצעו 7 ותפסו שלושה (רכרוכים. למה לא הרגוגם אותם?) הודו הלכודים שהם חייליו של עימאן אל זוהירי (אין ספק. ג'והן מכיר את הנפשות הפועלות. אל זוהיירי הוא אחד מידידיו הקרובים של בן לאדן. שם מרתק) ולקחו אותם למערה ליד כרבלה שם נמצא סליק של כלי נשק רגילים, סמים (קוקאין) 23 מליון דולר ואפילו שתי פצצות גרעיניות (למרות שג'והן לא מתרגש. הפצצות הגרעיניות נזכרו כלאחר יד בין הסמים לכלי הנשק הקלים ומה שהפתיע אותו ואת חבריו הלוחמים היה דווקא הכסף. מזל שג'והן לא איבד את העשתונות ומיד הורה לחבריו לשמור על סודיות. עכשיו ג'והן זקוק לאדם אמין שניתן לבטוח בו - כמוני (מזל שהוא מכיר אותי וידע לפנות אלי) - שישמור לו על הקופסאות עד שיצא מעירק. התמורה - 15% מהסכום. אבל ג'והן לא קשוח איתי. הוא בהיר שיש על מה לדבר ביחס לגובה הסכום. ואני חושב - מספיק לי 15%. אבל אני רוצה פצצה גרעינית אחת. נראה לי שזה יתאים ליד הוואזה בסלון, אחרי ה-WII. מה דעתכם - ג'והן יסכים?

צר לי לספר לך שפריירים לעולם, אבל לעולם, אינם מתים. הם רק מתחלפים...
אבי הציל לפני מספר שנים ידיד שלו שממש נכנס לתוך העוקץ, וכבר עמד לנסוע ללונדון לחכות לכסף ולהעביר כספים ל"שותפו" לעסקה על מנת לקדמה.ומדובר באדם משכיל,לא טיפש, פשוט נאיבי.
נראה לי גם שבימים טרופים כגון אלה, אנשים ינטו יותר להאמין בתרופות פלא שילחצו אותם מהמצב הקשה. זוהי שעתם הגדולה של כל היידעונים למינהם... הם צופים לך קשיים, אבל בסוף תתגבר עליהם וגם תמצא אהבת אמת. הכל כמובן תמורת תשלום נאות עבור יכולות החיזוי שלהם. רוצה לקנות קמע מיוחד למזל טוב וברכה בעסקים?

כן, גם אני נתקלתי בארוע במסגרתו עורך דין יחד עם שניים אחרים נכנסו לעיסקת יבוא יהלומים, נסעו בשביל זה ללונדון, השקיעו מאות אלפי דולרים, והכל היה עוקץ שהתחיל ממשהו כמו עוקץ ניגרי. אחד מהנעקצים התאבד בשלב מסויים והאחרים נתקלו בי בנסיבות לא נעימות להם (לא אפרט מטעמי פרטיות אבל אני הייתי דיין בבית הדין המשמעתי של הלשכה כששמעתי על הסיפור). וגם פעם אחת קיבלתי טלפון מחבר שמספר לי שבחור אפריקאי רוצה שהוא יעזור לו להוציא כסף מאפריקה ואם אני חושב שיש לחבר שלי משהו להפסיד אם יעזור לו.

עכשיו אני רק מתחיל להבין מה הפסדתי. למיני עוקצים ניגרים לא התפתיתי כמובן מעולם, אבל לפני כמה שנים שלחו לי הודעה שזכיתי בהגרלה שנערכה בין גולשי האינטרנט, בסכום של מליון וחצי דולר. הם לא ביקשו כיסוי הוצאות ולא שום דבר, רק שאמלא טופס פרטים (מאוד מפורט), ואשלח גם צילום הדרכון שלי כדי לוודא שאכן אני הזוכה. הטופס היה ארוך מדי ואיבדתי את הסבלנות. חבל, דווקא היה לי מה לעשות עם המיליון וחצי ההם... | |||
